Dene McAllan wins Danny Davidson Memorial.
Dene dominated the Danny Davidson Memorial midget meeting on Saturday night at Archerfield's Brisbane International Speedway winning a heat, the top 8 dash & the "A" Main. Starting from position 5 in the "A" Main he quickly took control of the lead passing Draney, Palmer, Brock Dean & lastly Wanless to be never headed for a dominating victory. A jubilant Dene claimed the win & quickly exited the Spike /Hawk Polar Ice machine on turns 3 & 4 climbing the catch fence as a victory salute to the cheers of supporters in the crowd.
The night did not all go the teams way as in his first heat he suffered severe front end damage when he made contact with a slower car, damaging the front end badly enough the front left wheel would not turn but kept going anyway amazingly just finishing out of a position. The team putting in a great effort with help from Jeff Moore from Todd Wanless team to have the car ready for the 2nd heat.
The Polar Ice/McAllan Motorsport Speedcar Teams next race meeting will be Saturday the 4th of April for the Laurie Matthews Memorial at Bunbury Speedway Western Australia & following that the 11th & 12th of April at Maryborough Speedway for the Qld Title.
